SHOWROOM

Located within a newly constructed extension to the headquarters of Mario Sirtori, a leading manufacturer of furnishing fabrics, the showroom serves both as a showcase and a space for interaction. Spanning two levels, the first floor is accessed via a large, flared black metal portal: inside, the reception area is dominated by a large monolithic counter in light-coloured stone. The simplicity and rigour of the design are broken up by site-specific textile works on the walls, which feature shades ranging from reds to burnt tones and orange. A large white staircase with an almost metaphysical atmosphere leads to the lower exhibition level, which interacts – through the large floor-to-ceiling glazed walls – with the existing garden that the extension project has preserved and integrated.
